Far north Fort Worth holds the newest homes we work on. In the Census tract along Alliance Boulevard, the median house was built in 2013, and 635 of its roughly 3,700 homes went up in 2020 or later. Around Heritage Trace Parkway the median falls in 2006 and 2007. Houses this young rarely need rescuing. The airport is what gave the area its name. AllianceTexas says Fort Worth Alliance Airport opened in 1989 as a partnership between Hillwood, the City of Fort Worth and the FAA, and that it was renamed Perot Field in 2022. Heritage was largely built in the 2000s. In one tract along Heritage Trace Parkway, 1,380 of about 2,100 homes date from 2000 to 2009. Any house there still running its original equipment is running a system close to 20 years old, and that is the age where we start pricing repair and replacement side by side so you can compare them.
Heating splits by neighborhood. In the eastern Heritage tract, 837 of 996 homes heat with utility gas. The Alliance Boulevard tract leans the other way, with 57% heating by electricity, and the Sendera Ranch tract reaches 69%. A furnace call in Heritage and a heat pump call in Sendera Ranch are different jobs, and our technicians handle both.
Newer does not mean exempt from the code book.
